Welcome to the Blythewood Campus site.
We ensure that each of our youth focuses on their academic development, followed by healthy interactions with their peers as well as their elders. We implement programs that both engage and teach our members.
For example, during Triple Play, our members not only engage in exciting sporting activities, but learn life lessons too. We teach them about being competitive, but maintaining good sportsmanship. They learn that in sports (as in life), things may not always be fair, but they must overcome. It is also imperative that we include each member in our programs. Our youth have learned to find and appreciate the strengths in others, in order to achieve a common goal or greater good.
Since 2006, the faculty and staff at Blythewood Middle have been extremely supportive of our club by allowing us to promote our activities freely. Principal Hafner has allowed our Club representatives to attend administrative meetings to discuss any ideas for the club and inform the staff about our activities.
Our club’s goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of each member in a positive environment, while simultaneously ensuring that they reach and exceed their academic goals. We plan to take action to see each of our youth on the Honor Roll by enhancing Power Hour and continuing to assist students beyond Power Hour whenever necessary. After our members excel academically, we plan to ensure that they understand their civic duties by taking our Torch Club to exciting new heights.
The Blythewood Middle School Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands display characteristics that are more reminiscent of a family than just an after school program. We hold ourselves and our members to higher standards and we choose to lead by example in hopes that our mentorship will affect each of our youth.
We encourage you to come visit our club, speak with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands staff and learn how our staff, along with Blythewood Middle School, can help your child BE GREAT!
