Thank you for visiting the Harbison West Campus site. Here at Harbison West, we are supported by the school and are often involved with school activities.
We make sure that you and your child feel comfortable and excited when you enter our Club. Our goal is to make the staff, members and parents feel as a family, celebrating each other's achievements, while working together to improve other aspects in and outside of the Club.
This year, our goal for 2010 is to maintain a structured, positive environment that gives members a chance to learn and practice to become productive young people while still having fun. We will continue to provide a safe haven where children can feel at ease just being themselves, while exploring the possibilities of who/what they can be.
At Harbison West Elementary, we don't just try to BE GREAT. WE ARE GREAT!

Biography:
I am a graduate of Columbia College with a B.A. in Music and I am currently working on my MBA at the University of Phoenix. I have also completed the BGCA nationally accredited Leadership University Youth Development and Management Professionals Programs. Prior to coming to BGCM I volunteered as a City Year Columbia Corps. member, serving as a tutor/mentor at a local school. I later worked for the Richland One School District for 3 years as a computer teacher. A little over 2 years ago I transitioned into BGCM working as a program specialist, program director, and currently as the Harbison West Campus Director.
Personal Message:
I believe in the vision of the Boys and Girls Club and the impact the it can have on todays generation. When members first walk into the the club I'm one of the first faces they see; always smiling and ready to celebrate their accomplishments or pick them up when their feeling down. At Harbison West BGC we are a family, working together to acheive success.
It is my personal goal to help club members recognize their own individual uniqueness and the power that they hold in creating their destiny. I believe all children are capable of acheiving success, especially when they are supported by a family & school staff such as Harbison West. Together we can help to move our children from good to GREAT!
Sister Sister is a club where girls can share their opinions, creativity, experiences, and goals. The girls are able to freely express themselves in a safe controlled environment.
The staff encourages the girls to take to make smart choices and become confident, capable and self-reliant young women.
The club consist of activities designed to helps girls: Reduce vulnerability to self-destructive behaviors Develop leadership, group and social skills Learn and practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills Increase self-awareness and values that lead to success in life
Sister Sister allows young girls to discover new sources of inner strength and self-worth and to nurture positive hopes and dreams for their future. Girls are given the chance to practice new skills, talk about what they have learned and focus on listening, empathy and understanding others.
